“You don’t have the right to touch my body or sexually harass me”, said DJ Soda about revealing clothes

DJ Soda complained about receiving malicious comments following the recent sexual harassment incident.

On August 15th, DJ Soda (real name Hwang So Hee) posted on her SNS account, saying “No matter what clothes I wear, it can never be considered a factor to judge a sexual harassment case”.

DJ Soda added, “It’s something obvious but I also had to gain my courage to say these words. I don’t wear revealing clothes for people to look at my body or touch me”.

“I know very well what clothes to wear to look pretty and feel confident. I just wear clothes according to my own desire and satisfaction. You don’t have the right to touch my body or sexually harass me even when I wear revealing clothes”, she continued.

She continued, “I wonder what people who blame my revealing clothes for the sexual harassment incident think in their daily life?”, adding “Was it wrong to wear revealing clothes at a water festival? Just because I wore that clothes, people were allowed to touch my body?

DJ Soda confessed, “I have the freedom to wear whatever I want, and no one can judge a person based on their clothes. My body still belongs to me, not to any other people”, adding “I like wearing revealing clothes and I will continue wearing them. You never know when you’re going to die so do not care about others and just wear whatever you want to wear”.

Earlier on the 14th, DJ Soda claimed that she was sexually harassed during a festival performance and even released a proof photo. She said, “I just finished my performance at the Music Circus Festival in Osaka, Japan today, and I had a shocking experience. My hands are still shaking right now. People at today’s event kept touching my chest. Not one but several people did that.”

Soda is currently active as a DJ in Korea, Japan, China, and various Southeast Asian countries. She became the first Korean headliner at the Songkran S2O Festival in Songkran Thailand one of the Top 3 festivals in the world.
