Current situation of the male singer who used to dream of becoming a pastor

Singer Zion.T (real name Kim Hae Sol) appeared on the final stage of “Show Me The Money 11” together with Wonstein.

According to a media outlet on Dec 30th, 2022, Zion.T performed on the final stage of Mnet’s program “Show Me The Money 11”, which aired live on Dec 31st, as a featuring singer.

Zion.T continued to extend his special relationship with “Show Me The Money (SMTM)”, on which he appeared as a producer for Seasons 5, 9, and 10. Especially, the song “MERRY-GO-ROUND” (prod. Slom/ feat. Zion.T, Wonstein) was the biggest hit of “Show Me The Money 10”.

At the news of his appearance on “SMTM”, the public was curious about which rapper Zion.T would support on the final stage of Season 11 this year.

Lee Young Ji, Don Malik, Blase, and Huh faced each other in the final stage. In particular, Zion.T showed up to perform “Hug (prod. Slom)” with Lee Young Ji, who eventually became the winner of “Show Me The Money 11”.

Meanwhile, Zion.T became famous after releasing the song “Yanghwa BRDG” in 2014. He touched the hearts of listeners with his sorrowful voice and lyrics.

In fact, Zion.T wrote the song when he thought of making a song for his family while suffering a slump. According to the lyrics of “Yanghwa BRDG”, Zion.T’s father was a taxi driver. As he often mentioned on TV, his mother worked as a pastor. Growing up in a Christian family, Zion.T seems to have been greatly influenced by Christianity.

In an interview, Zion.T surprised fans when he said, “I was born a Catholic”, adding “When I was young, my dream was to become a pastor”.

In addition, his stage name Zion.T was also influenced by his religious belief. It is said to have originated from the hill named Zion in Jerusalem. He combined the English pronunciation of Zion and the letter T, which symbolizes the Cross, to make his stage name ‘Zion.T’.

When Zion.T was in school, he wanted to become a painter because he had a talent for painting. However, he had no choice but to give up on that dream due to family circumstances. Zion.T developed his interest in music after playing an instrument in a church choir when he was a middle school student.

Later, he entered the music world as a rapper when he was in his third year of high school. In addition to “Yanghwa BRDG”, Zion.T also released various famous songs, such as “No Make Up”, “Eat”, and “Two melodies”, etc.
