Kim Hyun Joong overcame depression during the legal battle against his ex-girlfriend by peeling 2,000 eggs?
Singer and actor Kim Hyun Joong said he suffered from depression and panic disorder, but overcame it by peeling 2,000 eggs.

Referring to the five-year legal battle with his ex-girlfriend, Kim Hyun Joong said, “I suffered from depression and panic disorder after a big incident. At a time when I couldn’t even imagine going outside, I received an army enlistment notice,” he confessed. “I was prescribed medicine at the hospital and enlisted, but I couldn’t sleep a wink for a whole week because I couldn’t know what was happening outside.”
Kim Hyun Joong continued, “The administrative assistant I met at the time gave me cooking support missions such as cutting 80kg of cabbage and peeling 2,000 eggs, which helped prevent me from having too many thoughts. I couldn’t go on any vacation for six months and got completely blocked from the outside world. That has helped me overcome the panic disorder without the aid of medicine.”
Kim Hyun Joong also confessed that he was talking on the phone at the phone booth when he was in the military and heard someone badmouthing him at the phone booth next to him. Kim shared, “He swore at me by spreading new rumors with nonsense stories. Now I’m completely fine,” confessing that the long time he spent in that “dark tunnel” has rendered him unable to trust anyone.
