Controversy arises over fans kneeling for autographs at NMIXX’s fansign

Netizens say it’s ridiculous and humiliating.

Recently, a photo of NMIXX’s fan signing event was spread to various online communities and quickly drew attention. The photo is a shock to many. In front of NMIXX members who were seated in a row, fans were kneeling to have their albums signed. There were no chairs prepared for fans and considering the table height, it would have been inconvenient for them to stand up and bend down.

The photo has caused a controversy as most netizens find it ridiculous and disrespectful that fans had to kneel to receive autographs while idols were comfortably seated. Organizers of this NMIXX’s fansign also came under criticism for not preparing chairs for fans, which is supposed to be a mandatory thing in most idols’ fansigns nowadays.

Netizens left comments:

  • So after spending millions won to get into a fansign, they had to kneel?
  • This is humiliating
  • Why would they make fans kneel like that? What’s so hard about preparing some chairs?
  • This is the fansign organizer’s fault
  • Originally, don’t fans only need to bend their backs to talk to idols while standing up?
  • Getting on your knees just for autographs? What were these fans even thinking?
  • It’s ridiculous how idols’ fans spend tons of money just to be treated like that.
