Chuu Talks About Her Slump After Live Controversy, “My Legs Kept Trembling Whenever I Sang”

Singer Chuu confessed about her hard time after the live controversy in the past

On November 7th, the YouTube channel “Studio 777” uploaded a new video featuring the guest appearance of Chuu.

That day, Moon Sang-hoon asked Chuu, “Have you ever had a slump?”. In response, Chuu said, “One of the biggest reasons I think I haven’t suffered a slump is that I haven’t achieved anything exceptionally amazing. I think comments like, ‘You did great, why are you being like this these days? You must be suffering a slump’, should come after I reach my heyday”.

Chuu continued, “In my case, I caused a big controversy over my live performance. It was my first appearance on a program on behalf of the group and it was a radio show. I thought I just needed to have fun so I sang leisurely and it became a live controversy”

She added, “I suffered depression and tried to avoid people. I didn’t want to sing since the incident and got nervous every time I had to sing. My legs kept trembling. I think it was a slump in my singing career. I’ve overcome much of that fear now”

Hearing that, Moon Sang-hoon confessed how he overcame his slump and gave Chuu advice.

Chuu also talked about her new song “Howl”. She explained, “I was worried that there were not many parts where I could smile and show my bright appearance on the stage with this song, but I liked it because the lyrics contain what I wanted to say”.

In addition, Chuu said, “I don’t force myself to look bright on entertainment programs these days. To be honest, I could clearly recognize that I was pretending to look bright when my condition was bad.”

Sang-hoon agreed, “As Chuu said, I used to force myself to laugh even when it was not funny. Now I think people would like it if I don’t laugh”.

Chuu added, “My friends said the same thing. They would ask, ‘Why do you look so worried?’. ‘Whatever face you show, it’s still you. It’s not a sin to love and not receive love from everyone’. ‘People may hate you, and not everyone like you’. I liked those words”.
