The legendary horror film that terrified the world in 2018 is coming back.
On July 7th, the first teaser video of “The Nun 2” was uploaded to Warner Bros. YouTube channel.
“The Nun 2” is the first sequel of “The Nun” franchise, returning after approximately five years as the 9th installment of the Conjuring Universe.
Released in September 2018, “The Nun” was a movie that delved into the origin of the demon Valak, who appeared in the form of a nun in the movie “The Conjuring 2.”
Set in 1952, it depicts the chilling story of Father Burke and Sister Irene, who encounter a horrifying entity while investigating the suicide of a young nun in a secluded monastery in Romania. Valak’s horrifying appearance has captured the attention of many viewers.
The teaser trailer of “The Nun 2” portrays the story of demon nun Valak reappearing to torment the students of a French boarding school and embarking on another eerie adventure.
Sister Irene had to confront Valak, who had possessed Frenchie, once again.
The teaser trailer also shows how the surviving characters from the first film have lived for the past four years.
Sister Irene, who is living a secluded life in an Italian convent, appears to still be struggling to completely overcome the trauma from the events of the first film and seems compelled to step forward to save innocent souls.
Most of the cast from the first film returns in “The Nun 2.”
James Wan, the master of horror films, remains as the producer, while the director has been changed to Michael Chaves.
“The Nun 2” is scheduled to be released on September 8th (North America time).
