Singer’s brand reputation of July 2023 revealed, 1st place belongs to? 

The rankings of singer’s brand reputation of July 2023 have been revealed.

On July 22, the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute unveiled the singer’s brand reputation ranking in July 2023. The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute analyzed 110,856,123 singer brand big data from June 22, 2023, to July 22, 2023, along with consumers’ brand participation, media, communication, and community. Compared to 138,818,688 brand big data in June, it decreased by 20.14%. The results are Lim Young Woong in first place, BTS in second, and NewJeans in third.

The Singer Brand Reputation Index is an index that extracts big data of singer brands loved by consumers, analyzes consumer behavior, classifies them into different values (i.e. participation, communication, media, and community), and analyzes them through a positive-negative ratio analysis and reputation analysis. Through brand reputation analysis, brands can know about public opinions about them 

In July 2023, the top 30 singers’ brand reputations are, in sequential order, Lim Young Woong, BTS, NewJeans, BLACKPINK, IVE, PSY, LE SSERAFIM, Lee Chan Won, SEVENTEEN, IU, Kim Ho Joong, (G)I-DLE, Young Tak, EXO, Kang Daniel, aespa, Taeyeon, Girls’ Generation, Hwasa, Song Ga In, Lee Young Ji, Jang Min Ho, Oh My Girl, TWICE, Choi Yena, Kim Hee Jae, NCT, Red Velvet, and Sung Si Kyung.

Lim Young Woong’s brand, which ranked first in the singer’s brand reputation, was analyzed with a brand reputation index of 7,918,727, including a participation index of 1,527,333, a media index of 2,403,495, a communication index of 2,040,668, and a community index of 1,947,231. Compared to the brand reputation index of 9,976,043 in June, it fell dramatically by 20.62%.

BTS in second place was analyzed with a brand reputation index of 7,131,169. Its participation index is 636,612, media index is 1,789,800, communication index is 1,740,423, and community index is 2,964,334. Compared to the brand reputation index of 11,654,085 in June, it plunged by 38.81%.

Third place is NewJeans with a brand reputation index of 6,077,769, including a participation index of 1,242,876, a media index of 2,116,112, a communication index of 1,509,212, and a community index of 1,209,569. Compared to the brand reputation index of 5,062,002 in June, it soared by 20.07%.

Fourth place is BLACKPINK with a brand reputation index of 4,773,422 that dipped slightly by 0.09% compared to the group’s index in June. At the same time, IVE at fifth place went through a more marked decrease, by 12.08% compared to the group’s index in June. Their index in July is 3,730,668.

Koo Chang Hwan, director of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, said, “As a result of analyzing brand big data in July 2023, Lim Young Woong’s brand ranked first. When analyzing the singer’s brand category, it decreased by 20.14% compared to 138,818,688 singer brand big data in June. According to the detailed analysis, brand consumption fell by 15.95%, brand issues fell by 10.56%, brand communication fell by 24.52%, and brand spread fell by 29.15%.

Lim Young Woong’s brand, which built a fandom community that spread good influence, came in first, BTS’s brand, which does not miss the intensity in individual activities, came in second, and NewJeans’ brand, which introduced hip videos and sound sources, came in third. BLACKPINK, who continues its global concert activities, ranked fourth, and the IVE’s brand, which makes various colors, ranked fifth,” said the director.
