Song Joong Ki and Katy Louise Saunders welcomed their son in Italy, Katy’s hometown.
On June 14, Song Joong Ki announced officially on his fan cafe that his son was born. His wife, Katy Louise Saunders, gave birth to the couple’s child in Rome, Italy. Both Katy and her son are in healthy condition. While fans are overjoyed to hear the news, they are also curious why the couple stayed in Rome for an extended period of time and welcomed their child there.
In response, Song Joong Ki said it is because Rome is Katy’s hometown. Katy was born in 1984 in London and has British citizenship. She worked as an actress before becoming an English teacher. In the past, Katy lived with her parents in the U.K. and Italy.
After announcing marriage in 2022, Song Joong Ki and his wife flew to Europe so that the actor could work on his film project. The couple stayed there for some time after the actor wrapped up the filming. The public frequently saw the couple strolling the streets of Rome.
