BTS V introduces his first solo album “Layover”

BTS V personally introduced his first solo album “Layover”, which will be released at 1 PM on September 8th.

V expressed that he put a lot of effort into creating this album, wanting to show a new side of himself, even though he typically does not have many ambitions.

He described the album as a reflection of his personal taste. For this project, V aimed to showcase his true self on stage, focusing on his intrinsic colors rather than excessive glamor. He worked diligently on his singing, filling in any gaps in his abilities, and included everything he loves and excels at in this album.

V collaborated with executive producer Min Hee Jin for the first time, and he was pleased with the outcome, highlighting their harmonious working relationship. They shared opinions down to the smallest details and worked together with a sense of mutual admiration. V was actively involved in the creative process, contributing his ideas, and Min Hee Jin effectively incorporated them into the album.

In terms of the album’s concept, V and Min Hee Jin discussed the direction extensively and settled on the title “Layover”, symbolizing a brief pause or reflection before reaching a final destination. V hopes that this solo album will be a pivotal moment in his journey towards his ultimate goals.

The title track “Slow Dancing” was chosen because V believed it would resonate the most with ARMYs (BTS’ fandom name). Initially planning for a piano version, he decided on a flute version during the production process.

V also mentioned that he created music videos for 5 tracks on the album, hoping they would be cherished as special memories. He encouraged fans to enjoy both the music and the videos together.

Finally, V expressed his confidence that “Layover” would resonate with fans as it is an album he feels most comfortable and confident about. He also hinted at preparing special stages for fans to look forward to.
