Red Velvet raises expectations for “Birthday”, another combination of classical music and the group’s own colors

Red Velvet is coming back with a unique and youthful charm.

According to SM Entertainment on November 25, Red Velvet will release their new mini-album “The ReVe Festival 2022 – Birthday” at 6 pm KST on November 28th. This is the second album of “The ReVe Festival 2022”, a music festival by Red Velvet.

“The ReVe Festival 2022 – Birthday” contains a total of 5 songs, starting with the title track “Birthday”, followed by “BYE BYE”, “Roller Coaster (On A Ride)”, “ZOOM”, and “Celebrate” It is expected to show off the colorful music colors and charms of Red Velvet.

“Birthday” is a trap rhythm-based pop dance song that combines rhythmical drums and cool synth sounds. George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” was sampled to add a unique atmosphere to Red Velvet’s music.

Earlier in spring of this year, Red Velvet captivated global music fans with “Feel My Rhythm”, a sample of Bach’s “Air on the G String”, so this new song, which is another fantastic combination between Red Velvet’s trademark music color and classical music, is expected to receive a hot response again. 

Prior to the release of the new album, Red Velvet exuded a lively charm through their logo, schedule poster, mood sampler, and teaser images. Fans and even casual listeners are looking forward to a different transformation of the unrivaled “Concept Queen”, who has shown ever-changing images with various concepts since their debut.
