BTS Jungkook to be featured in ‘Left and Right’, a new single by Charlie Puth: First official collab in 4 years

Jungkook will participate in the new song ‘Left and Right’ of the American singer Charlie Puth.

On June 17th, Charlie Puth announced through his official TikTok account that BTS’s Jungkook would participate as a featured vocalist in his upcoming single ‘Left and Right’. The released video showed Charlie Puth and Jungkook exchanging opinions on the new song under the concept of a video call. Their distinctly attractive vocals raise expectations for the full song.

Charlie Puth announced that ‘Left and Right’ would be released on June 24 (local time). This is the first official collaboration between Jungkook and Charlie Puth in about 4 years. Previously, Charlie Puth appeared at ‘2018 MGA’ held at Namdong Gymnasium in Incheon in November 2018 and sang ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’ with Jungkook. When Jungkook released the cover of Charlie Puth’s hit song ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’, the American singer met Jungkook in person and the two had a joint performance in Korea.

Meanwhile, Jungkook, together with BTS members, released the new album ‘Proof’ on June 10. To celebrate the 9th anniversary of his debut, on June 13th, Jungkook dropped his solo song ‘My You’ for free. Jungkook is also the song’s main producer. He revealed the wrote it while thinking of the fans. 

Jungkook started his singing career as the main vocalist of BTS on June 13, 2013. In addition to being a vocalist, he has developed his capabilities as a singer-songwriter, starting with “Outro: Love is Not Over”, a track in BTS album “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 1” in 2015.

He also participated in the production for the title track ‘RUN’, the b-side song ‘Autumn Leaves’ in ‘The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Part 2’, and ‘Magic Shop’ in the 2018 album ‘Love Yourself: Tear’, and more.
