BTS Jung Kook (Jeon Jung Kook) handed over his apartment that worths about 3 billion won, to his older brother.
It has been confirmed that Jung Kook gifted an apartment on the 17th floor of Yongsan City Park, Seobinggo-ro, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, which he purchased in July 2019, to his older brother, Jeon Jung Hyun in December last year.
Yongsan City Park, along with Yongsan Park Tower, is one of the 2 landmarks near the area of Yongsan Station. It’s an area close to Incheon Station on Subway Line 3 and Gyeonggui-Jungang Line. The National Museum of Korea and the planned location of Yongsan Park are also nearby, so this is a highly evaluated area.
Korea’s representative golfer Park Se Ri, and supermodel Lee So Ra are also living in Yongsan City Park. Lee So Ra once appeared on MBC’s variety program ‘I Live Alone’ in November 2016 and revealed her living that has windows open to the view of Seoul.
Park Jong Chan, an appraiser at Samil Appraisal Corporation, said, “In the case of this apartment, it consists of a large floor space, making its high price on the market.”
He also explained, “Jung Kook purchased this apartment at 2.98 billion won in 2019, and this price is estimated to be an appropriate amount, and its current market price is estimated to be around 3.4 billion won. It seems that the apartment was handed over for reducing tax payments in a reasonable way. He seems to have an intellectual, economic knowledge.”
Jeon Jung Hyun, who received the apartment from Jung Kook, is also widely known to BTS fans.
A representative real estate agent said, “Thanks to his brother, he received 4 billion won instead of 1 billion won. Nothing has been revealed about BTS Jungkook’s other real estate, so the purpose of this act doesn’t seem to be for avoiding the suspicion of owning multiple homes. Indeed, BTS Jung Kook is not holding a ‘golden spoon’, but a ‘BTS spoon’.”
