Block B’s P.O Completes Marine Corps Service, Plans for Exciting Return

Block B member and actor, P.O (Pyo Ji-hoon), is returning from his military service

Today (Sep 27), P.O completes his Marine Corps service after approximately 1 year and 6 months of service as a corporal.

P.O entered the training camp on March 28th last year and, after completing basic military training, he joined the Marine Corps Headquarters. He served as a Marine Corps musician in the 1280th unit.

In June, he surprised fans by appearing in a video titled “I am a Republic of Korea Marine” on the Defense News YouTube channel.

In the video, P.O mentioned that this time in the military gave him newfound confidence, “It was a time when I gained trust in myself. Training was especially tough as a trainee, and there were many difficulties during my military service, but I thought every Korean man should experience it at least once.”

He also shared his plans for activities after discharge, “As an actor, I want to return to drama and movie sets after my discharge. I also want to show a good side of myself as a singer and entertainer.”

It’s no surprise since P.O made his debut as a singer and excelled in various fields, including dramas and variety shows.

Since his appearance in “Temperature of Love” in 2017, he has starred in dramas like “Love Alert,” “Encounter,” “Hotel Del Luna,” and “Mouse.”

Furthermore, he charmed viewers with his unique and adorable personality in variety shows such as “Great Escape,” “New Journey to the West,” “Amazing Saturday,” and “Kang’s Kitchen.”

Block B members previously celebrated P.O’s discharge, and there is great anticipation among fans for their full-group comeback.

Recently, Park Kyung posted a picture on his Instagram with the caption “Our maknae discharged,” leading fans to express their expectations for a new Block B’s album.
