“Extraordinary Attorney Woo” actor Joo Jong-hyuk, “People unfollow me because of my villain role… Even my family members swear at me”

Actor Joo Jong-hyuk confessed the hardships he suffered after playing Kwon Min-woo, a villain who does anything to achieve his goal, in the drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”.

On August 18th, Harper’s BAZAAR Korea magazine released an interview with actor Joo Jong-hyuk, who is starring in ENA’s TV series “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”.

Joo Jong-hyuk received the nickname “the nation’s most annoying person” after portraying the role of Tactician Kwon Min-woo, who has a bad personality.

In the interview, Joo Jong-hyuk revealed how he feels about playing the villain alone while other characters in “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” are so well-loved.  He said, “What’s worse is that even my family members swear at me”, drawing attention.

Joo Jong-hyuk said, “My father visits my Instagram account every day and he says, ‘The number of your followers decreased by 1,000 again today. Stop being so mean’.”

However, the actor said that he felt good despite being hated by the viewers.

Joo Jong-hyuk said, “At first, I wondered ‘Are they cursing at me? Or Kwon Min-woo?’, but now I take them all as compliments that I’ve acted well”, adding “Thank you for paying attention to me”.

In addition, Joo Jong-hyuk revealed the nickname he liked the most among the ones given to him, such as “Tactician Kwon Min-woo”.

Meanwhile, the hot drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” will end with the 16th episode airing at 9 p.m today (August 18th).
