Girl group BLACKPINK has been consistently smashing one record after another, proving their immense popularity.
On April 22nd (Korean time), BLACKPINK surpassed 10 billion streams on the music platform Spotify. With this, they have become the first girl group in history to achieve such a milestone.
Notably, BLACKPINK achieved this despite having a 2-year hiatus in their career and a rather limited discography compared to other acts that debuted around the same time.
With their level of Spotify streams, BLACKPINK has once again proven their global popularity, not just as a group, but also as individuals.
On the other hand, BLACKPINK recently slayed the stage as the first Korean artist to headline music festival Coachella. After wrapping up their Coachella performance, they will continue with their world tour, “BORN PINK”, which is expected to attract around 1.5 million audiences.
“BORN PINK” also recently became the highest-grossing tour of a female group in history, with 78.5 million USD earned for the first 26 shows.
