Baekhyun (EXO) has set a new record on the Billboard Artist 100 chart with “Young” (feat LOCO) in the “STATION X 0” project without promoting the song.
The good news has come to Baekhyun’s fans in particular and EXO’s fans in general as Baekhyun has set a new record on the prestigious Billboard chart.
Specifically, Baekhyun debuted at No. 84 on the Billboard Artist 100 with the song “Young” – a collaboration with rapper LOCO in the “STATION x 0” project. This is also the highest position that a Kpop solo artist has achieved on this chart. More importantly, Baekhyun and Loco didn’t even promote “Young” on any music stage.
Artist 100 is calculated based on the measure of the artist’s activity through the consumption of music, the selling of albums and songs, the duration of radio program, streaming and interacting with fans through social networks to provide a weekly chart on the artist’s popularity.
Prior to Baekhyun, only two Kpop solo artists have entered the Billboard Artist 100 before. In 2015, PSY was the first Kpop artist to earn a spot on this chart. His seventh album helped him reach 88th place. In March 2018, J-Hope (BTS) and his mixtape album “Hope World” ranked 91st on Artist 100.
