Baek Yerin delivered unfortunate news as she cancels her New York concert.
On July 18th, Baek Yerin announced through her Instagram account that she has been reinfected with COVID-19.
Baek Yerin said, “To all the fans who were planning to come to see me, I’m truly sorry. It was only in the evening that I received a positive COVID-19 diagnosis.“
She continued, “I wanted to show you a good performance, but I am unable to sing. I can’t go because of my condition. I’m really sorry for making you wait,” expressing her sincere apology.
She added, “Please take care of your health, and I will definitely visit you as soon as possible. I’m truly grateful for your kind concerns and encouragement.“
Baek Yerin was scheduled to perform at the ‘K-Indie Music Night’ at Damrosch Park in Lincoln Center, New York, on July 20th.
However, with Baek Yerin testing positive for COVID-19, she won’t be able to attend.
Baek Yerin was also diagnosed with COVID-19 in August of last year. At that time, she confessed, “I struggled with COVID-19 and experienced severe aftereffects. I had a lot of coughing and felt very weak,” causing concern among her fans.
Baek Yerin gained attention when she appeared as a 10-year-old ballad prodigy on SBS’s ‘Star King’ in 2007. Afterwards, she began her trainee life at JYP Entertainment and debuted in 2012 as part of the duo 15& with Park Jimin (Jamie). Currently, she is doing solo activities and also active with the band The Volunteers.
