Agency Sued Reporters For Spreading False Information About Lee Sun-kyun, “Please apologize”

On January 3rd, HODU&U Entertainment said, “Recently, we found out that rumors and false information about our actors are spreading”, adding “We’ve decided to start collecting related data and take legal action at the same time”. The company plans to deal with the spread of false information strictly.

In addition, the agency also expressed disappointment in media outlets’ malicious reports about Lee Sun-kyun. They said, “We hoped that the truth would be revealed through a fair police investigation until the end, however, the situation has reached the point where we can expect anything from it. Therefore, we’ve decided to correct the information ourselves one by one”.

They added, “On the 2nd, we filed a complaint against a reporter who made an article with false information on the evening of December 27th, 2023”, adding, “We ask the reporter to sincerely apologize and faithfully engage in the upcoming legal proceedings”.

HODU&U Entertainment emphasized, “Since the investigation is still underway and has not been completely solved until now, we could not respond to all the questions from the media. As such, we requested the media to correct and remove all the articles and online posts that have been published without a credible source or going through a fact-checking process.”

Lee Sun-kyun was found dead at a park in Jongno-gu, Seoul at 10:30 a.m. on December 27th, 2023.
