aespa’s Karina Published Hand-written Apology for Dating
As fans’ reactions sour due to Karina and Lee Jae-wook’s dating news, the female idol had to publish an apology letter.
On March 6 (Korean time), aespa’s Karina published a handwritten apology letter in response to fans’ disappointment about her dating news with actor Lee Jae-wook.
The full letter published by Karina is as below:
“Hello, this is Karina.
First of all, I’m sorry for surprising and causing concern to my fans. This is late, but I have made a lot of consideration (before writing this).
I know many of you MYs (fandom of aespa) may have been disappointed when recalling our shared memories. I’m aware of your sadness, and deeply feel regret and apologize for any hurt feelings that I’ve caused.
While I’m not sure if you’d be hurt again reading this, I still wrote this letter in hope of sincerely expressing my apologies to the fans who have given me the warmest winter since my debut.
I want to mend any wounds that (the news) have caused, as MYs have always supported me unconditionally and even now, I consider your support as precious.
This may be too short of a letter to convey my full feelings, but thank you for reading. I want to show a more matured and hard-working side of myself in the future so as not to disappoint anyone.
Please continue to watch over me. I hope you eat well, and I hope we can meet again in our best conditions. Once again, I sincerely apologize and thank you.”
On the other hand, after aespa’s Karina and Lee Jae-wook were revealed to be dating by Dispatch, Karina has faced mixed reactions from fans. Chinese fans of the female idol even sent a protest truck to SM, asking Karina to apologize for “betraying” them.
