Despite not yet concluding, the BORN PINK world tour of BLACKPINK has made history as the highest-grossing tour for a female group.
According to Touring Data on April 21st, BLACKPINK’s “BORN PINK” has become the highest-grossing tour by a female group in history.
In particular, with around 366,000 tickets sold in the first 26 shows, “BORN PINK” has grossed a whooping 78.5 million USD, surpassing the previous record holder, Spice Girls’ “Spice World 2019 Tour”, which earned 78.2 million USD.
At the same time, the total grossings of “BORN PINK” is expected to rise even higher, with over 30 shows left, including those held at North America’s extremely large venues such as MetLife New Jersey, Allegiant Las Vegas, Oracle Park San Francisco, and Dodger Los Angeles.
On the other hand, BLACKPINK recently made history as the first Kpop act to headline music festival Coachella, and will return to the festival stage on April 22nd (local time).
