Many fans claimed to have “unstanned” aespa’s Karina after the female idol’s dating news, even providing evidence.
On February 28, news site Dispatch published the news of aespa’s Karina and actor Lee Jae-wook, and the two’s agencies have both confirmed the news.
Ever since, the couple have faced various mixed reactions, with Karina even losing fans due to the situation. Topics of fans leaving Karina have even started trending on Korean forums, and aespa’s latest video have also received negative comments.
In particular, according to the topic, some fans of Karina expressed that they have subscribed to Karina’s Bubble for almost 600 days, but decided to stop because of the dating news.
“While Dispatch’s stalkerish actions should be abolished, Karina should also be criticized. As the group leader and center, she did not respect her positions. It has only been 3 years and 2 months since her debut”, a fan said, adding, “A lot of Karina fans are going to leave, and Winter will be the center for aespa’s full album comeback.”
Others expressed the opinions that if Karina wants to date yet still maintain her fanbase, she should become an artist like IU instead of being an idol, adding that core fans of Karina absolutely detest the dating news.
Meanwhile, another topic compiled comments under aespa’s new video, most of which targeting Karina.
