aespa took home the Rookie of the Year award.
aespa won the Female Rookie of the Year award at Mnet’s 2021 MAMA (2021 Mnet ASIAN MUSIC AWARDS) held on December 11th.
Karina expressed her feelings, “I’m so nervous now, don’t know what to say… It’s our first time together in MAMA and receiving an award in front of fans. I’m so grateful.” She added, “Thank you so much to our fans, our producer, label people, hair stylists and makeup artists.” Then Giselle said, “This is an award we can receive just once. We’re ever so honored. We’ll do our best from now on. Thank you.”
Meanwhile, aespa, Jo Yu-ri, Kwon Eun-bi, Lightsum and StayC were named as nominees for the Female Rookie of the Year award.
