Cha Chung-hwa has surprised everyone with news of her marriage

According to her agency, Cha Chung-hwa is set to marry a younger businessman on October 27th at a venue in Seoul. Cha Chung-hwa and her husband-to-be are reported to have developed their relationship from being long-time friends to lovers. 

Cha Chung-hwa, born in 1980, is 43 years old this year, and her groom is said to be two years younger than her. The wedding ceremony will be kept private, considering that her groom is a non-celebrity.

In a past interview with JTBC, Cha Chung-hwa revealed her thoughts on love and marriage when asked, “I always dream about love. I believe love is necessary as we go through life. I love acting, I love food, and I love beautiful things. I love everything. I always dream of love with an open heart. I’m still young, so I’m waiting for destiny.”

At that time, she mentioned her ideal type as “someone who works hard without pretense, loves their own work, and loves me and my work.”

Cha Chung-hwa, who is in her 19th year of acting since her debut this year, made her debut in 2005 with the play ‘Back Alley Story’ and has been active in various fields, including musicals, dramas, and films.

She gained attention as a scene-stealer in the popular drama ‘Crash Landing on You’ in 2019. Since then, she has appeared in numerous popular series such as ‘Mr. Queen,’ ‘Hometown ChaChaCha,’ etc. She recently appeared in the Netflix series ‘Song of the Bandits.’

Cha Chung-hwa also displayed her exceptional talent in variety shows by being a fixed panelist on two seasons of ‘SNL Korea’ in 2021 and 2022.
