“Penthouse” director and screenwriter are back with a new drama… This actor has been cast to appear as one of the main characters

Another actor has been cast to play a lead role in the new work created by “Penthouse” writer and director.

Joy News 24 reported on July 14th that actor Lee Joon recently confirmed his appearance in SBS’s new drama “The Escape of the Seven” and he was already preparing for the filming.

According to the report, “The Escape of the Seven” tells the story centering around seven main characters. Following “The Last Empress” and “Penthouse“, this drama will mark the third time screenwriter Kim Soon-ok and director Joo Dong-min join hands to make.

In the case of Lee Joon, this will be the first time he work with screenwriter Kim Soon-ok and director Joo Dong-min. He gained recognition for his solid acting skills after starring in dramas, such as “My Father is Strange”, “Bulgasal: Immortal Souls”, “The Silent Sea” and “Bloody Heart”. 

When the news of Lee Joon’s appearance in a new drama project was reported, Internet users cheered and poured out enthusiastic responses. Netizens on the online community theqoo commented, “Oh, Lee Joon is working so hard!”, “I didn’t expect this. “The Escape of the Seven” has raised high expectations from drama fans with the appearance of several actors who starred in “Penthouse”, such as Um Ki-joon, Yoon Jong-hoon and Shin Eun-kyung.

Above all, it drew even more attention for being selected by actress Hwang Jung-eum as her comeback drama. 

The production crew of “The Escape of the Seven” will soon wrap up the casting and begin filming after holding a script reading.
