In that conversation, comedian Park Na-rae said to Lee Hyo-ri, “‘I’m really curious about the life of pretty women’, this is what I wanted to know the most if I met you”. Lee Hyo-ri jokingly replied, “You won’t be able to imagine it even if I tell you, right?”, adding, “I’m sorry but…”.

Soon, Lee Hyo-ri added, “Just like the fact that I don’t know about the life of extremely funny women and the life of extremely interesting women”, adding, “I have to experience it”.

A member of Mom Cafe responded that she was somewhat uncomfortable with Lee Hyo-ri’s remark.  The Mom Cafe member pointed out in her post, “I like Lee Hyo-ri but when she asked Park Na-rae if she ever experienced having men look at her and ask for her contact information, I thought, isn’t it a hurtful question coming from a woman herself?”

Adding, “It’s something that can happen once or twice, and it may not happen, but she made it difficult to answer. It would have been nice if Lee Hyo-ri answered the question with wit. I was disappointed and felt embarrassed when she said that.”

Another Mom Cafe member commented, “I like Lee Hyo-ri, but the life of a very pretty woman? I don’t know what it’s like. I can’t relate to it. That question should be given to a pretty woman like YoonA, no?”

However, netizens who saw the reaction of Mom Cafe members are showing the opposite opinions as they think Lee Hyo-ri’s remarks are merely a joke and not problematic at all. They left comments such as, “Are you making a fuss over a harmless joke?”, “She respects the comedian because she doesn’t know the life of a funny and interesting woman,” and “It’s a nuance that you are supposed to laugh it off.”
