Actor Ji Soo’s sexual misconduct allegations were found to be untrue
Ji Soo‘s representative explained that Ji Soo took steps to minimize damage, including posting a handwritten apology and leaving a drama in which he was involved. Afterward, he faced numerous false and malicious posts related to sexual matters. While some of these were deleted, others remained, leading to legal actions.
Ji Soo’s initial school violence allegations were made on March 2nd, 2021, and his agency took legal action. However, the author of the initial allegations later apologized, stating that they did not expect journalists to write articles without verifying the facts.
Furthermore, various other allegations, such as luring a middle school student for sexual assault, were made online. One netizen who made such allegations later apologized, citing their military service-related anxieties and expressing regret for causing harm.
Another online post from someone claiming to be Ji Soo’s high school classmate was posted then deleted, making it challenging to respond. Ji Soo’s representative firmly denied the allegations, emphasizing that Ji Soo has never engaged in illegal filming or had any romantic involvement with middle school students during his high school years.
In response to these allegations, Ji Soo’s high school classmate, Kwon Pu-reum, provided an interview and stated that Ji Soo was cautious and well-liked during his high school years, and there was no evidence of such allegations. Ji Soo recently reconciled with the classmate who initially accused him of school violence, and they are now supporting each other.
In March 2021, Ji Soo suspended all entertainment activities due to the school violence allegations and terminated his exclusive contract with KeyEast in May. Following the completion of his social service at a senior welfare center, Ji Soo was discharged in July. He does not have any confirmed upcoming projects at the moment.
