Jung Sung Il, who starred in “The Glory”, is drawing attention with his  extraordinary love story, which took nearly 14 years till marriage

Jeong Sung Il, who hit his peak with “The Glory,” appeared in the 179th episode of tvN’s entertainment show “You Quiz on the Block,” which aired on February 1st.

Jung Sung Il talked about his love story with his wife. They have been married for about 7 years. He confessed that he met “a friend of a friend” in his early 20s after being discharged from the military.

Jung Sung Il said that when his wife left for the US to study, he asked her to date him despite their distance. They contacted each other by exchanging letters. They were apart for three years.  

In response, Yoo Jae Suk said, “Aren’t you guys cyber lovers?” and couldn’t hide his surprise at how Jung Sung was in touch with his girlfriend by phone and email for three years.

Jung Sung Il said that after three years of non-face-to-face relationship, the two continued dating for another three years after meeting in person. After seven or eight years of breaking up, they reconnected. 

Jung Sung Il’s wife took his mother to the hospital without Jung Sung Il knowing when she came to Seoul for surgery. Jung Sung Il later learned of this and married his wife, whom he met again in the hospital, after 3 months.
