Tom Cruise to Perform Unprecedented Stunt at Olympic Paris 2024’s Closing Ceremony

Hollywood star Tom Cruise (62) will perform an unprecedented stunt at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

On August 2, American entertainment media outlet TMZ reported that Tom Cruise is set to perform a large-scale stunt at the Olympic Paris 2024’s closing ceremony on the 11th (local time).

According to the report, Cruise will make his appearance during the handover of the Olympic flag to Los Angeles, the host city of the next Olympics in 2028. Cruise will descend from above the Stade de France on a rappel, land on the field, and deliver the Olympic flag.

The TV broadcast will then switch to a pre-recorded video showing Cruise flying from France to Los Angeles with the Olympic flag and skydiving onto the Hollywood sign.

However, due to the complexity of the stunt at the Stade de France stadium, the specific method of execution remains undecided. It is known that the idea of delivering the Olympic flag via a stunt was proposed by Tom Cruise himself to the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Cruise has been seen attending swimming and gymnastics events at this Olympics.

Tom Cruise has participated in Olympic activities in the past. He participated as a torch bearer in Los Angeles ahead of the 2004 Athens Olympics.
