Actor Kim Min Jae delivered a special message to fans who were surprised when they heard about his enlistment plan.
On the afternoon of February 10th, Kim Min Jae met with Wikitree for an interview after the end of tvN’s Wednesday-Thursday drama “Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist” season 2
On the morning of the same day, Kim Min Jae drew a lot of attention by revealing that he has plans to enlist in interviews with several other media outlets. Then, when the topic was brought up in the afternoon interview, the actor showed a surprised expression and explained, “I said I would go this year or next year, but articles that came out made it seem as if I was going right away.”
He also added, “I am still considering, but I didn’t mean that I was leaving right away. However, many people misunderstand. I am not enlisting now. Fans who heard the news said their hearts were about to drop.”
When asked to say something to fans, the actor shared, “I want to tell them I’m not enlisting now, so don’t worry. The military period will only last for only 1 year and 6 months”. He also drew laughter by adding, “Please stay calm”.
Meanwhile, “Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist”, follows the life of genius physician Yoo Se Poong (Kim Min Jae), who can’t sleep. He later encounters an eccentric teacher, Gye Ji Han (Kim Sang Kyung) and a widow, Seo Eun Woo (Kim Hyang Gi) in the mysterious and beautiful Gyesu Village.
Season 1 of the drama ended in September 2022, while season 2 recently concluded on February 9th, 2023.
