Controversy surrounding BIGBANG G-Dragon’s alleged drug use is hot

G-Dragon made headlines by voluntarily attending the police investigation, expressing his determination to clear himself of drug allegations. This incident has brought attention to other celebrities who voluntarily attended the police in the past to either dispel suspicions or confess wrongdoing.

1. G-Dragon

In October, G-Dragon was criminally charged as a suspect in a drug use case, shocking fans. He voluntarily attended the police investigation on November 6th, accompanied by his lawyer.

Before the police inquiry, he assured fans, “Don’t worry too much. I’ll come back after the investigation.”

The police have collected G-Dragon’s fingernails for a detailed drug analysis.

2. Park Yoochun

Former TVXQ member-actor Park Yoochun, along with his ex-fiancée Hwang Hana, was accused of drug use in 2019. At the time, he held an emergency press conference, denying any drug use and pledging to voluntarily undergo a police investigation.

Despite initially claiming innocence and even mentioning retirement from the entertainment industry, Park Yoochun was later revealed to have used Philopon through a leg hair test. Subsequently, he faced public disappointment and eventually withdrew from the Korean entertainment scene.

3. Lee Mi-sook

Actress Lee Mi-sook voluntarily attended the prosecution’s investigation in 2019 when she became implicated in the late Jang Ja-yeon case. At that time, she was accused of being aware of some of the “Jang Ja-yeon document” and using them to gain a favorable position in the dispute with her agency.

In response to the controversy, Lee Mi-sook stated, “If there are parts needed to clarify the death of the late Jang Ja-yeon, I am willing to undergo additional investigation.”

After voluntarily attending the prosecution’s investigation, Lee Mi-sook was reportedly cleared of charges.

4. Song Seung-heon & Jang Hyuk & Han Jae-suk

Song Seung-heon expressed remorse, “Before being an actor, as a man in the Republic of Korea, I deeply regret and reflect on the inappropriate actions.” Following the investigation, he received an active-duty enlistment decision and enlisted in the military.

Similarly, Jang Hyuk, who enlisted alongside Song Seung-heon, said, “We will work harder in our military service and come back after discharging, given the wrong judgment we made.”

Han Jae-suk, who was assigned to public service due to his age, apologized, “I’m truly sorry, and I will work harder, even if it’s late. I apologize.
