25-Year-Old Actress Harassed To Death By 14 People On Filming Set

A Japanese rookie actress recently left the world at the age of 25 after being severely harassed by her fellow actors and colleagues

Recently, the Japanese entertainment industry has been struggling with continuous shocking controversies and suicides since September last year until now. It all started with the death of actress Aiki. What shocked everyone was that the cause came from her colleagues.

Aiki

Earlier on September 2023, Aiki, an actress from the film and theater production company Takarazuka Revue, was found dead. According to the police’s prediction of the cause at that time, Aiki was said to have made an extreme choice due to overwork. However, her family didn’t believe it so they protested to expand the investigation. They also sued the actress’s company for their insincere apology and asked for compensation.

Later at the end of March 2024, the police shocked the whole nation as they revealed the truth behind Aiki’s death. Accordingly, Aiki was reportedly harassed by 14 colleagues, including 1 director, 2 producers, and fellow actors from the same company. After the police’s statement, only 4 of them released official apologies.

These people reportedly bullied her and abused her using their power. They used hair curling to hurt Aiki and forced the young actress to work 277 hours a month, which exceeded the standard working time of 118 hours.

Thanks to the efforts of Aiki’s family, the truth has been discovered. Takarazuka Revue’s CEO Kenshi Koba held a press conference to officially deliver a sincere apology to the bereaved family and the public. He also promised to strengthen regulations at the company to ensure a healthy working environment for staff and rookie actors.
