Controversy Over Fans’ Attitudes When Communicating With Lee Hyo-ri, “Fans Should Not Cross The Line”

Recently, a video showing Lee Hyo-ri on her way to work for KBS 2TV’s program  “The Seasons – Lee Hyo-ri’s Red Carpet” spread widely in online communities and netizens argued over the attitudes of some fans in the video.

In the video, Lee Hyo-ri was surrounded by fans as soon as she showed up. They put a cute headband on her head and asked her to do the pose as if she was doing magic. At that moment, a fan was seen holding both of Lee Hyo-ri’s wrists.

Lee Hyo-ri and fans were having a pleasant conversation in a natural and friendly atmosphere throughout that one-minute video. However, some pointed out that it was rude to approach Lee Hyo-ri that closely and expressed concerns over safety and excessive physical contact.

Some commented, “They should be careful not to hold her wrists all of a sudden”, “Fans should not cross the line”, “I don’t know why her manager did not do anything and let the fans act like that”, “If something went wrong, she would have been hurt”, etc.

On the other hand, fans who know how much Lee Hyo-ri wants to communicate with her long-time fans and care for them revealed that Lee Hyo-ri even brought hot packs and gave them to fans who waited for her outside in the cold weather.

Those who are well aware of Lee Hyo-ri’s extraordinary love for her fans said, “She felt reassured and grateful just for the fact that fans were coming to see her”, “I think she was happy that fans came to support her”, “I don’t want any controversy to arise from this”, “Lee Hyo-ri looked grateful for the fans’ appearance, why did it suddenly become a problem?”, etc.

Meanwhile, “Lee Hyo-ri’s Red Carpet” airs every Friday at 11:20 p.m.
