From Jennie to Han So-hee to Kim Ji Won: The Evolution of ‘Chum-Churum’… No Confirmation Yet

Lotte Chilsung Beverage Denies Kim Ji Won as 'Chum-Churum' Model Amidst Rumors

Amidst rumors of actress Kim Ji Won being selected as the new model for the soju brand ‘Chum-Churum,‘ Lotte Chilsung Beverage officials responded that the decision has not been confirmed.

Earlier, Han So-hee, who had been active as the advertising model for Chum-Churum, saw her contract expire earlier this month. She was selected as the successor to BLACKPINK’s Jennie, who had been the model for Chum-Churum for four years until March last year. Speculations arose among netizens that Han So-hee’s contract was not renewed due to rumors of her relationship with Ryu Jun-yeol, unlike other models who had only been active for a year.

In response to this, a Lotte Chilsung Beverage official explained, “The contract expired before the rumors of the relationship surfaced. The rumors did not influence the decision.” Furthermore, they added, “Recently, there is a preference for short-term contracts,” and “There are cases where the model’s value suddenly rises, leading to a desire for short-term contracts. Short-term contracts reflect the trend of the times.”

Kim Ji Won is currently gaining popularity for her role as Hong Hae In, the third-generation heir to a Queens Group conglomerate, in the tvN drama ‘Queen of Tears.’ Regarding the rumors of Kim Ji Won being selected as the new model for Chum-Churum, a Lotte Chilsung Beverage official stated, “While various possibilities are being considered regarding the model selection, there is nothing to confirm at the moment.”
