A top girl group member went to the cinema alone to watch “Decision To Leave”

She managed to not be recognized in public.

On August 16th, Red Velvet’s Yeri shared a selfie and a video taken at the theater on her Instagram story, with the caption, “Going to the cinema alone”. In the update, Yeri was wearing a mask and a hooded top. Except her eyes, Yeri was totally covered so it would have been difficult for her to be recognized in public. Yeri appearing all alone at the theater without makeup caught the attention of many fans.

According to a post she shared on the same day, Yeri went to the theater alone to watch Park Chan Wook’s movie “Decision To Leave”. Yeri praised the movie after watching it. She said, “I just saw ‘Decision To Leave’… It’s just the best…”. She also expressed her admiration to director Park Chan Wook.

”Decision To Leave”, which was officially released in theaters at the end of June, is a romance thriller drama film about detective Hae Jun (Park Hae Il), who is investigating a case about a man’s death, and falling in love with the dead man’s wife, Seo Rae (Tang Wei).  Director Park won Best Director at the 75th Cannes International Film Festival held in May for “Decision To Leave”. The movie has also been chosen to represent South Korea at the 2023 Oscars.
