Youtuber suspected of fleeing overseas with Yoo Ah In’s money finally speaks up, “I couldn’t even contact Yoo Ah In”
Youtuber Yang Nal denied the allegation of receiving Yoo Ah In’s money to escape overseas and avoid drug investigations.
On June 11th, Yang Nal (Yang Seung Jin) posted a long article on his Instagram to release his position and complain of unfairness regarding recent rumors surrounding him.
He said, “Recently, someone told me that there were scandalous articles about me. I checked those articles and comments on the Internet. My heart is beating fast and feeling so heavy right now.”
“All of the articles I’ve checked are based on speculations and assumptions that explain the situation as if the information has already been confirmed. I want to make it clear that the information they provide is not true. I’m not going abroad to escape”, he explained.
Regarding the reason he is in France, Yang Nal said, “As for the reason I came here, I temporarily stopped working with my dance crew last year, so I came to this place for dance workshops, new YouTube challenges, and research for my upcoming choreography work ‘Decameron’ next year”, adding “I have never received any investigation inquiries, but has been considered a suspect and treated as a criminal just because I traveled abroad. I was extremely bewildered, and I think I need to make a clear confirmation regarding these allegations.”
He continued, “If I went abroad to escape, how could I have been posting my daily activities on social media? I was in a situation where I couldn’t even contact my close brother, who is involved in a criminal case”, adding “I have never received any money or assistance from him. To say this in a logical way, wouldn’t it be disadvantageous for him to help me escape?”
The Youtuber explained, “Upon hearing people say he helped me escape, I just thought it was so ridiculous. I’m suffering too much in relation to this incident. The schedules and projects I have prepared and planned for are very precious to me as they are my dreams and my career. I don’t want to get more damage so that I can proceed with my work as scheduled.”
Yang Nal confessed, “If it is necessary to investigate me, I believe that I also need to understand and organize my situation first”, adding “Because of those false articles, unjust suspicions, and attacks, I’m feeling mentally unsafe and it is stressing me out.”
Lastly, he said, “I’m feeling so sorry and upset for my fans, but I think I will have to temporarily stop my YouTube activities for a while. I will solve the situation and greet you again as soon as possible. Please don’t worry too much and wait a little longer”, adding “I believe that words have a power strong enough to either kill or save someone. I earnestly hope that people do not misuse that power. I will also conclude this post with the same mindset.”
On June 9th, Yoo Ah In was sent to prosecution without detention on charges of administering at least seven kinds of drugs. It was also reported that he helped a Youtuber to escape overseas and avoid the police investigation.
The Youtuber, who was originally considered a witness in Yoo Ah In’s case, refused to comply with the police investigation and left for France. Therefore, the police decided to change his status from a witness to a suspect.
The Youtuber is suspected of fleeing overseas with the money given by Yoo Ah In through an acquaintance, and the police have also requested an Interpol red notice for him.
