The major component in cannabis was allegedly detected in Yoo Ah In’s urine test, and the actor’s cell phone has been secured for evidence.
The latest episode of KBS2’s “Entertainment company Live”, which aired on February 16th, shed light on the case of actor Yoo Ah In, who was accused of habitual use of propofol, a psychoactive drug banned for non-medical uses.
According to the program, last year, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety requested the police to investigate 51 people who prescribed a large number of prescriptions and doses of propofol through an analysis of the integrated drug management system.
Among the 51 people, actor Yoo Ah In is included. Recently, Yoo Ah In was investigated by the police on charges of habitual prescription of propofol for non-medical purposes from 2021.
In particular, when Yoo Ah In arrived from the United States on February 5th, his body was searched and his urine and hair samples were collected at the airport. The main component of cannabis was then detected in the results of a simple urine test, and a precise analysis has been requested by the National Institute of Scientific Investigation (NFS), said “Entertainment company Live”.
Regarding this, Yoo Ah In’s agency, UAA, said that they are “actively investigating” to give an affirmative explanation on Yoo Ah In’s alleged habitual use of propofol. However, they refuted claims related to cannabis.
