On the 23rd, Wanna One’s agency CJ ENM, Swing Entertainment, who is in charge of management and Wanna One member’s agency, has gathered together. The agenda was to increase the duration of Wanna One’s activities until next year in January.
CJ ENM said that it was the first time they officially proposed to member’s agencies, to extend the period of activity until the end of January, next year. They will participate in various song award ceremonies scheduled for next year January, which includes the last concert at the end of January.
The opinions of the agency were largely divided into three.
▲ To extend the duration of activity by one month
▲Only members who can extend the duration of activity will active for a month in January
▲ It is reported that fierce discussions have been held on even if one member falls out, the group will officially disband on December 31, as originally expected.
If the duration of activity is extended for a month, fans will have the advantage of being able to meet Wanna One through various awards and concerts.
However, some of the agencies that have already set up early plans for members, who are expected to return to their original agency after December 31, have a sense of pressure to change their plans altogether.
“Produce 101”’s season 2 final selected team Wanna One, was originally in contract with CJ ENM for 18 months, which was already the longest contract for an audition program.
CJ ENM, Swing Entertainment, and Wanna One member’s agency have agreed to meet again several times to discuss in-depth discussions about the extension of activities.
