Uzurocks, “We successfully attracted 30-billion-won investment, and will pay Song Ji Hyo within 20 days”

Uzurocks Entertainment has reached an agreement to settle payments for actress Song Ji Hyo within 20 days.

On June 30th, an official from Uzurocks said to OSEN, “We’ve successfully attracted an investment of 30 billion won from a U.S financial company”.

They explained, “It takes time before we can actually get investment and use it. Nevertheless, we already succeeded in securing the investment, and reached an agreement with Song Ji Hyo’s legal representative that we would pay her as soon as the related schedule is completed.”

Uzurocks plans to sequentially settle unpaid payments for employees, partner companies, and actors starting from July 3rd with an aim to normalize everything within 20 days at the latest. This is also part of their agreement with Song Ji Hyo.

Uzurocks official said, “We also cannot use the funds in a reckless way. Considering the amount we would pay Song Ji Hyo, we decided to settle the payments in order, prioritizing employees, then partner companies, and finally the artists.”

Meanwhile, Song Ji Hyo signed an exclusive contract with Uzurocks in October last year but terminated it in April this year due to a conflict over unpaid settlements. In May, she filed a complaint with the Gangnam Police Station against Uzurocks CEO A on charges of embezzlement.

In particular, Uzurocks said they would pay Song Ji Hyo by the end of April but delayed it to May 1st. However, the company once again failed to meet the deadline so Song Ji Hyo’s legal representative filed a lawsuit on the 2nd to claim the unpaid settlements. On the 10th, Uzurocks stated, “We promised to pay the wages by the 10th, but we were unable to keep the promise due to delays in the deposit schedule”, adding “We are trying to resolve the issue quickly. We also plan to settle all payments by June 30th”.
