Actor Jeon Bae-soo captivated the small screen viewers with his outstanding performance as Woo Young-woo’s father in “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”.
Actor Jeon Bae-soo is receiving huge love from the viewers and has become a “national father” with his performance in ENA channel drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” (directed by Yoo In-sik/ scripted by Moon Ji-won/ produced by AStory-KT Studio).
Jeon Bae-soo plays Woo Kwang-ho, the father of the genius lawyer with autism spectrum disorder Woo Young-woo (Park Eun-bin). Woo Kwang-ho was a promising law student but he boldly gave up his future and decided to raise her alone. It was the choice he made solely for the sake of his daughter, but when he saw Young-woo struggle to get a job because she is a little different from ordinary people, he regretted his decision.
“When I saw you not being able to get a job anywhere, I should have become an attorney then I should’ve hired and taught you. I should have been a competent father who had a practice to pass on to his daughter” – In the scene where he calmly conveyed his thoughts after telling Young-woo that Tae Soo-mi (Jin Kyung) is her mother, this character made the viewers feel the sad feelings of a father who gave up everything for his daughter and lived as a single father but couldn’t help he at the most important moment.

Even if I have to collude with a bad junior who took her in to use her, I want her to have an opportunity”, in the scene where he visited Sun-young (Baek Ji-won), his college junior and Hanbada law firm’s CEO who recruited Young-woo to beat Tae Soo-mi, clearly revealed himself as a father who could do anything for his daughter.
As such, Jeon Bae-soo is leading the story by showing his aspect of an affectionate father who does not hesitate to play a villain to protect his daughter. In particular, the past when he tearfully begged Tae Soo-mi, “If you just have the baby, I’ll take the baby and disappear. I’ll quit my studies and make sure you never see us”, made the viewers feel unfortunate about his life.
