Including 3 Japanese members Mina, Sana, and Momo, TWICE’s first sub-unit MiSaMo has recorded impressive achievements in Japan.
On July 26th, JYP Entertainment will launch MiSaMo, TWICE’s first unit group composed of members Mina, Sana, and Momo. Prior to the official release of their first mini-album, “Masterpiece”, the audio and music video for title track “Do not touch” was released on July 14th.
Immediately after the release, as of 7:00 AM (JST) on July 15th, the song achieved 1st place on Japan’s Line Music real-time song Top 100 Chart and AWA Music real-time chart. It also reached the top spot on the iTunes song chart in 10 regions overseas, including Vietnam, Argentina, and Spain.
Meanwhile, the “Do not touch” MV showcases the dazzling visuals of Mina, Sana, and Momo, emitting an elegant aura. With magnificent backgrounds and costumes, it guides viewers into a world of highly polished artistry. On the day of its release, the music video rapidly climbed to 1st place on the YouTube music video trending list in Japan and achieved 2nd place in the United States, Mexico, Canada, and Costa Rica.
In addition, shortly after the release of “Do not touch” and its music video, the Twitter hashtag “MiSaMo_DoNotTouch” reached 1st place in the Philippines, as well as 4th place in the United States and Malaysia, followed by 7th place in Vietnam, and 9th place in Brazil. It also drew attention by ranking 5th worldwide.
As their official debut in Japan approaches in five days, on July 21st, TWICE MiSaMo will make an appearance on “Music Station”, a representative Japanese music program. “Music Station” has been one of Japan’s most popular music broadcast programs since its first airing in October 1986. Here, TWICe MiSaMo will showcase a captivating performance, highlighting the fantastic synergy among the three members, and further heat up the excitement for their debut.
On the other hand, the title track of MiSaMo’s Japanese debut album, “Do not touch”. is an R&B genre song that showcases the charms, colors, and maturity of the three members. JYP’s representative producer, Park Jin Young, personally wrote the lyrics and expresses the members as works of art, likening them to art pieces in a museum and using the concept of the warning phrase, “Do not touch.”
Meanwhile, MiSaMo’s Japanese debut album, “Masterpiece,” will be officially released on July 26th. To commemorate this, they will hold the “MiSaMo JAPAN SHOWCASE 2023” mini 1st album release showcase at Intex Osaka Hall 5 in Osaka from July 22nd to 23rd and at PIA Arena MM in Tokyo from July 25th to 27th.
