Today (Nov 24th) is Goo Ha Ra’s 3rd death anniversary… We still can’t believe this “farewell”

It has already been 3 years since former KARA member Goo Ha Ra became a star in the sky.

The deceased was found dead at her home in Seoul on Nov 24th, 2019. She passed away at the age of 28. A note pessimistic about her personal life was found, and the case ended in a simple way.

Goo Ha Ra debuted as a member of KARA in 2008 and was loved for hits such as “Pretty Girl”, “Same Heart”, “Honey” and “Lupin”. She was also very popular in Japan, and even after standing alone, she continued her individual activities in Japan.

Then in 2018, she suffered the biggest crisis since her debut when she had a conflict with her ex-lover Choi. Goo Ha Ra claimed that a two-sided assault occurred at her house. Following this, Goo Ha Ra filed additional complaints against Choi on charges of coercion, intimidation and violation of the Sexual Offences Punishment Act. In August 2019, Choi was acquitted of the charge of filming the sex video without permission as the court agreed that the filming was done without her consent, but because she remained in the relationship, they found him not guilty of illicit filming. However, he was sentenced to one year and six months in prison, suspended for three years after probation after being convicted of threatening to upload the sex video, coercion, physical assault and destroying Goo Ha Ra’s property. Goo Ha Ra passed away while preparing to appeal.

Afterwards, the court ruled that Choi should pay alimony to the bereaved family.
