tvN’s weekend drama “Alchemy of Souls”, which is doing well, suddenly decided to cancel this week’s episodes, drawing keen attention.
Daily Sports reported on August 4th that drama “Alchemy of Souls” will not be broadcast on the 13th and 14th.
According to the report, the production crew of “Alchemy of Souls” decided to cancel broadcasts to improve the completeness of the latter half of the drama. This week’s episodes on the 6th and 7th will be broadcast normally.
“Alchemy of Souls” is set in a fictional country called Daeho that does not exist in history or on maps. It’s a fantasy drama that tells about the growth of young people whose fates are twisted by a magic spell called “alchemy of souls” that allows souls to be switched.
The story begins when Nak-su (Go Yoon-jung) feels her life at risk and exchanges her soul with Mu-deok (Jung So-min)’s through the “alchemy of souls”, then accepts Jang Wook (Lee Jae-wook), the son of Jang’s family, as her student.
“Alchemy of Souls” airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 p.m. It has maintained a viewer rating in the range of 6-7% after receiving compliments for its beautiful CG scenes and the actors’ performances.
“Alchemy of Souls” has finished Part 1 with 20 episodes and is in the process of producing Part 2 with 10 episodes.
In Part 2, all the cast actors of Part 1 except for Jung So-min will appear as they are, and actress Go Yoon-jung will take on the female lead role.
