Actor Cha Eun Woo is set to undergo a transformation in his acting through MBC’s new Wednesday drama “A Good Day to Be a Dog” (directed by Kim Dae Woong, written by Baek In Ah)

Based on the Naver webtoon of the same name by Lee Hye, “A Good Day to Be a Dog” tells the story of a woman who turns into a dog when she kisses, and a man who is the only cheat key to solve the curse but is afraid of dogs.

Cha Eun Woo takes on the role of Jin Seo Won, a high school math teacher who became afraid of dogs due to childhood trauma.

The still cuts released on Sep 13th showcased Cha Eun Woo’s perfect transformation into the character. Cha Eun Woo explained that he was drawn to the unique concept of the drama, where kissing leads to transformation into a dog, and expressed his personal liking for dogs.

He elaborated on his character, describing Jin Seo Won as someone who appears cold on the outside but is a warm-hearted individual with a fear of dogs due to childhood trauma. He added that he likes math and found it interesting to portray a math teacher.

Cha Eun Woo emphasized the character’s development, stating that he worked closely with the director and writer to depict how Jin Seo Won changes while interacting with Han Hae Na (Park Gyu Young), a character with the opposite personality. He also noted some similarities and differences between himself and his character, particularly their attitudes towards dogs.

To encapsulate his character, Cha Eun Woo chose keywords like “math”, “uncle” and “Hae Na”. He explained that Jin Seo Won’s profession as a math teacher naturally involves “math”, while his deep care for his nephew Choi Yul (Yoon Hyun Soo) and affection for Hae Na are reflected in the keywords “uncle” and “Hae Na”.

Finally, Cha Eun Woo expressed his affection for the drama, hoping that viewers would give it a lot of interest and love.
