On April 28, photos of Cha Eun-woo at a military band performance began spreading across online communities and social media. The event reportedly took place on April 23. In the photos, Cha Eun-woo appeared on stage in a formal suit while holding a microphone and saluting the audience.
The appearance attracted attention because it marked his first publicly shared update since allegations of a large-scale tax issue surfaced earlier this year. In the released photos, Cha Eun-woo was seen standing among military band members during the performance. He wore a black suit with a bow tie and was captured saluting toward the audience.

The photos quickly circulated online, with many fans and internet users focusing on his condition and his return to public attention during military service.
Cha Eun-woo enlisted in July 2025 and is currently serving as a corporal in the military band. He is scheduled to be discharged on January 27, 2027. Earlier, Cha Eun-woo became the subject of controversy after reports claimed he had received a tax bill of more than 20 billion KRW following a tax investigation. The issue reportedly involved a management service contract connected to a corporation under a family member’s name.

After a pre-tax review and adjustment process, part of the previously paid corporate tax and value-added tax was reportedly recognized as duplicate taxation. As a result, the actual payment amount was settled at around 13 billion KRW.
On April 8, Cha Eun-woo apologized and stated that he respected the procedures and results of the National Tax Service. He said he had paid all related taxes and felt most sorry for disappointing the fans who trusted him. He also said he would review his activities more carefully and strictly to prevent the same issue from happening again. The latest photos have once again placed Cha Eun-woo in the spotlight, as fans continue to follow both his military service and the aftermath of the tax controversy.
