Amid the ongoing fallout from Cha Eun-woo’s tax evasion allegations, public support from well-known figures has emerged on social media.
Lee Joo-young, a fourth-generation heir of Daelim Group and influencer, publicly showed support for Cha Eun-woo, who is currently under scrutiny.

On April 8, Cha Eun-woo posted his second official statement regarding the tax allegations on his account.
He bowed again, writing, “I sincerely apologize for disappointing and confusing fans and many others regarding the recent tax controversy involving me.” He added, “I respect the procedures and results of the National Tax Service and have paid all relevant taxes to prevent further confusion.”
In response, Lee Joo-young indirectly expressed support by liking the post on her account.
Meanwhile, Korean-American actress Arden Cho, who plays Rumi in the Netflix series KPop Demon Hunters, also publicly showed support for Cha Eun-woo on social media.
In a comment under Cha Eun-woo’s first apology post in January, Arden Cho wrote, “Always supporting you, dongseng, Hwaiting!” conveying open encouragement.

After the controversy expanded, Arden Cho clarified, “My comment was just a personal gesture of comfort and not intended to judge or defend the matter. I regret that my private feelings were interpreted publicly. I will be more careful in the future.”
Meanwhile, Cha Eun-woo is reported to have received a notification from the National Tax Service for a total of approximately 20 billion KRW, including income tax and penalties.
However, the actual amount paid appears to be lower, around 13 billion KRW. Fantagio stated, “Part of the payment will be adjusted through the NTS refund process, so the actual financial burden is expected to be approximately 13 billion KRW, as advised by our accountant.”
