This celebrity surprisingly beat BTS, Lim Young-woong to dominate the No.1 spot in the February Star Brand Reputation Ranking

South Korea’s national men’s short track skating team member Kwak Yoon-gi (32 years old) topped the Star Brand Reputation Ranking in February.

According to analysis results released by the Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation, Kwak Yoon-gi ranked No.1 in the Star Brand Reputation Ranking in February 2022. He is followed by No.2 BTS and No.3 Lim Young-woong.

Other names mentioned in the list in order are Choi Min-jung, Son Heung-min, BLACKPINK, Hwang Dae-heon, Tae-yeon, IU, Yoo Jae-seok, Girls’ Generation, Lee Chan-won, TWICE, Kim A-rang, Apink, Red Velvet, Youngtak, EXO, Lee Se-young, Ryu Hyun-jin, NCT, SHINee, Seventeen, Lee Jun-ho, Kim Min-seok, Lee Yoo-bin, Jeon Hyun-moo, Kang Daniel, Song Hye-kyo, and Park Jang-hyuk.

Director of the Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation said, “Kwak Yoon-gi’s brand figure reflected his active performance at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and communication with fans”, adding, “BTS led consumers to participate on various platforms, while Lim Young-woong created a great influence based on his strong fandom community”.

The brand reputation index is an indicator created through bid data analysis after conducting research on consumers’ online habits which have a great influence on brand consumption. In particular, Star Brand Reputation analysis measures relationships between consumers and star brands, positive-negative evaluations, media interests, and consumers’ interests and communications.

The Institute said they measured 217,195,817 big data of star brands measured from January 28th to February 28th based on participation index, media index, communication index, and community index through consumers’ behaviors analysis.
