This dashing actor will assume a role in Hyun Bin’s upcoming work “Confidential Assignment 2”.
“Confidential Assignment 2: International” is scheduled to be Hyun Bin’s first comeback since “Crash Landing On You”, where he showed outstanding chemistry with his now wife Son Ye Jin. As a sequel of the first installment, “Confidential Assignment 2: International” will revolve around male lead Im Chul Ryung (Hyun Bin), who’s in pursuit of a brutal and secret criminal organization. Alongside familiar faces from part 1 of the franchise like Hyun Bin, Yoo Hae Jin, Yoona, and more, part 2 will welcome the new element Daniel Henney.
According to previously teased information, Daniel Henney will assume the role of Jack – an American FBI investigator, who tries to track down a criminal organization in Korea. As a result, the audience can expect iconic collaborations between Jack and Chul Ryum.
As a new character, Daniel Henney already started trending after he appeared in the trailer for “Confidential Assignment 2”, drawing even more attention than Hyun Bin’s character. From what was shown, Hyun Bin will boast a rugged and street-smart look, while Daniel will stand out in his sleek suit and “gentleman” charm.
What’s surprising is that Hyun Bin and Daniel Henney already worked with each other 17 years ago, in the hit TV series “My Lovely Sam Soon”. Here, Daniel didn’t even have any Korean lines, and yet still managed to impress with his handsome visuals. The two actors also started to develop a close friendship after this appearance.
“My Lovely Sam Soon” is also Daniel Henney’s acting debut in Korea, as he previously worked as model in the States. Born to a Korean-American household, Daniel earned the nickname of “half-blood prince”, and started to learn Korean in 2006, before appearing on various TV shows and breaching into the Korean acting world. The actor has since worked in various markets, from Korea, China, to Hollywood. Alongside his K-movie appearances, Daniel Henney is also well known for his role as Matthew Simmons in the Hollywood series “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders”.
With his chic and charming appearance and style, Daniel Henney often gets invited to shoot for magazines and fashion pictorials, and is regarded as “style icon” in Korea. Now in his 40s, the model-actor is still a dashing bachelor and the dream man of many audiences.
