Tottenham Hotspur’s star Son Heung Min refuses to sign a fan’s retro jersey in a video recently posted on social media. But there was a very reasonable reason behind it.
Son Heung Min is one of the most famous soccer players not only in Korea but also in Asia, the Premier League (PL), and worldwide. He topped the Star Brand Reputation Index in December last year, ranking No.1 ahead of BTS.
On August 28, 2015, Son Heung Min left Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the German Bundesliga and put on a Tottenham uniform. At that time, Tottenham paid a transfer fee of 30 million euros to acquire Son Heung Min. This was the highest transfer fee in Asia at the time. Son Heung Min signed a five-year contract and received the number 7.
