Yang Hyun Suk, head of YG Entertainment, who has been alleged of sexual favors, has again denied all the allegations.
“First of all, I have to tell you how sorry I am,” Yang Hyun Suk said in an e-mail to his staff on May 30. “I didn’t know of the fact that recent broadcast reports have caused concern. The day after the broadcast was the 2nd anniversary of my father’s death for which I have to go back to my hometown which is far from here and didn’t have the time to do anything else,” he said.
“The suspicions that appeared on the broadcast on May 27 are not true at all,” Yang Hyun Suk said. “I never did anything illegal or embarrassing to you. I think all the truth will, sooner or later, be revealed to the world,” he added.
“YG has steadily grown over the past 23 years thanks to your efforts toward your dreams and extraordinary creativity,” Yang said. “My position is to protect that. I’m not forgetting this heavy responsibility,” he said.
On July 27, MBC’s investigate program “Straight” raised suspicions that Yang offered sexual services to some Thai and Malaysian financiers in Seoul in July 2014.
