Attention is drawing to the identity of the items given to the audience at the U.S. premiere of Apple TV+ original series “Pachinko.”

On Mar 16th (local time), the “Pachinko” global premiere event was held at the LA Academy Museum in the United States. The cast including Youn Yuh-jung, Lee Min-ho, Kim Min-ha, and Jung Eun-chae all attended the event.

On Mar 24th, the online community theqoo drew attention as an audience attending that premiere event posted their review. The writer also shared a photo of a white envelope with the ticket distributed by Apple TV+ to the audience.

In front of the envelope, a Mugung flower (also known as Sharon rose) was drawn along with the title of the series “Pachinko.” On the back of the envelope, the phrase “Mugung flower’s seed” and the description “Korean National Flower” were added. There is also a detailed description of how to grow the Mugung flower.

The writer said, “There are Mugung flower seeds in the ticket envelope. Since it’s a Korean story, I think it’s a great idea to give the audience Mugung flowers. It’s also great how they explain that it’s Korean National Flower,” describing that the production team distributed Mugung flower seeds to the audience at the premiere event.

The Mugung flower is a flower that symbolizes Korea, but it is not actually the Korean official national flower. Although the Ministry of Public Administration and Security has specified Mugung flower as a national symbol, there is no legal National Flower because there are no clear legal regulations yet.

Other community users commented, “This is so meaningful”, “I want to receive that too. The envelope is also pretty”, “Apple is good at marketing”, “Wow. That’s amazing”, “It’s a great event”, “I choked up when I saw this”, “I like the idea of handing out Mugung flower seeds”, “It’s a very sensible and touching action”…

Starring Youn Yuh-jung, Lee Min-ho, Kim Min-ha and Jin Ha, Apple TV+’s original series “Pachinko” is based on the novel of the same name, which was selected as a New York Times bestseller. It chronicles the hopes and dreams of a Korean immigrant family across four generations as they leave their homeland in an indomitable quest to survive and thrive.

Three episodes are scheduled to be first released on March 25th, then one episode will be broadcast every Friday after that.
